Born on the beautiful island of Barbados and raised in Washington, D.C., DJ Bimshire represents the best of both musical worlds. From the seduction of soca, the rhythm of reggae and ‘duttiness’ of dancehall; to the pulsating beats of hip-hop, R&B and regional favorite GoGo, Bimshire knows how to rock an event. It’s no surprise, then, he consistently ranks as one of the most versatile DJs in the DMV (DC, Maryland, and Virginia), specifically earning the honors of ‘Best Soca DJ’ by the DMV Caribbean Association in 2019. Bim, as he is most affectionately known, boasts a 20-plus-year career that spans clubs, concerts and West Indian carnivals. But it’s this tech-savvy, influencer’s unique skill in connecting with diverse audiences that earned him the title of official DJ for the Embassy of Barbados to the United States, and one of GroPro’s rare, Caribbean brand ambassadors. Well into his prime, Bim's musical mayhem has seen him perform in the U.S., the Caribbean, Latin America, and Africa -- performing along with artists including Wale, Elephant Man, Konshens, Biz Markie, Fimba, Machel Montano, Afro B, Alison Hinds, and more.
Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and happiness to life and to everything.
